Born and raised in Vietnam, I grew up surrounded by vibrant culture and incredible food. But, I was curious, I dreamed of exploring the world and learning about other cultures.

— My experience in education

I got my first bachelor’s degree in English Interpretation in 2017. I then spent two years as a kindergarten teacher at an International School in Saigon. It was rewarding working alongside teachers from many places in the world. But I wanted more.

— The life-changing move

I came to the US in 2020 for a cultural exchange program, in which I spent 2 wonderful years exploring and learning. The challenging yet inspiring journey pushed me to grow in ways I never imagined.

— All roads lead to...Design

I discovered my love for design during the pandemic. It was intimidating to start over, but I knew I would regret not pursuing design. So, I went back to school for interaction design in 2022.

Teaching and working with kids showed me the importance of patience and empathy. Working in education in an international setting, and living in a foreign country deepened my understanding of diverse perspectives. Teaching myself art and illustration trained my discipline and visual design skills.

I'm grateful for the journey that leads me to become a designer.
